We offer several options for sedation dentistry:
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): This effective treatment is inhaled through your nose and gives immediate “relaxation” results, but wears off as soon as the gas is removed. A great option for kids!
Oral Sedation: Oral conscious sedation is a type of sedation where patients are provided with a prescription pill and instructed to take it at a certain time before their appointment. Once the effects take hold, you should enter a pleasant state of relaxation while still being aware enough to respond to your dentist's voice and commands.
IV Conscious Sedation: IV sedation is a more advanced form of sedation that’s administered intravenously (IV). Your level of sedation is controlled by a sedation trained and certified dentist and this allows you to enter into a more relaxed and “nap-like” state. Most patients have no memory of the procedure at all. This type of sedation is great for larger procedures such as implants, extractions and wisdom teeth removal.
